Obviously, I had to crochet her something :-) Something cute and flowery for her head! Also, every time she has had pictures taken she has worn a tutu. What can I say? I am obsessed. I am obsessed with my baby being naked with nothing but a tutu on and a head accessory. She is so fat and roly poly that I can't help myself. Anyway, this is the hat I made for her pictures. I LOVE IT! I don't mean to brag about my work, but I am so excited about this little piece. I used my basic shell stitch beanie pattern and then followed this pattern for the flowers. Instead of cotton thread and a tiny needle, I opted for an H and I hook and Sugar 'n' Cream yarn. I threw them together on the side of the hat and think they add a lot of character!
This picture is just my quick snapshot of the hat to show you what I made, but I will be getting the pictures of Belle in 2 weeks or so. Kate Krueger took her pictures. I went to high school with her and our husbands were roommates in college. Her work is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. She took my maternity pictures (click here to check them out...seriously, they are so good) and I honestly could not believe the shots she got and how well the pictures turned out.
I know I am chatty tonight, but I also wanted to be sure to tell you about a giveaway I am having at Fingerprints on the Fridge tomorrow! ReplyDeleteI am having a hard time following the directions on Rnd 9 on your adorable baby beanie. Are the dc supposed to be clustered? Do I chain 3 sc inbetween the dc groupings or just skip three sc? Do you happen to have a diagram of the rows? I really love this hat and want to make some, but I just can't firgure it out. Help!? Thanks
