  1. Do you prefer any kind of yarn for the babies. I don't want it to be itchy or awful. I thought cotton might be too rough, but then baby alpaca and such is hard to take care of. Thanks.

  2. I lead a group of volunteers who have been suppling Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies in Orlando with preemie beannies and other items for many years. We use only baby and sport yarn from all the major yarn manufaturers. Some caps are made in the collegiate colors of favorite teams and well received. I am a former Grand Rapids resident now retired in Orlando.

  3. I have been crocheting & knitting for over 50 years. Since the passing of my 3 year-old niece in 2000 I have been making and donating items to the Ronald McDonald House in Iowa City and for the past few years to the RMH in Marshfield, WI. I love to make Hats, Mittens, & scarves. 4 years ago I started a Ladies Monday Night Yarn Group at our Library, we meet every Monday nite, they have also been generously making items to donate. We also make preemie hats and larger baby hats to send to the NICU at St.Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield. I think what you are doing is wonderful and I applaud you and everyone that helps you.

  4. Love the pattern for the dainty daisy shell stitch beanie! I am a knitter and don't usually like to crochet but this pattern worked up SO fast that I made 2 since yesterday. I want to make an adult one now but didn't see directions posted. I'm hoping that using a K hook inside og J will do the trick. Thank you so much for sharing the pattern with us! Karen
