yes this is clear and was from pattern but it doesn't help with where placement of the first shell goes
ReplyDeleteHi, why is it when I did a sample of this pattern, and also the person doing the video, the results were different than yours? Your shell division (at the chain 1) makes a definite crease-like division when looking at the completed beanie picture. What did "you" do differently than the person on the video, and me? Is it due to the hat being on a child's head stretching the sts more, producing the different look, or a different size hook? I wanted this adorable pattern JUST for the interesting effect of the shell division, which does not happen on the video & when "I" stitch it up. (And it's a very simple pattern, not complicated, & I've crocheted since I was 7 yrs old, 59 years ago.) Please advise! It's a very cute pattern, and I have a new grand daughter coming in August! Thanks, stumped and sleepless in Seattle!
